Things seem to get faster and every day seems to bring more sleep deprivation and exhaustion. However, the burdens seem to get lighter with every day closer to leaving. Answering the call brings incredible freedom.
I remember first hearing the Steven Curtis Chapman song "For the Sake of the Call" when I was a teenager at church camp. That song still gives me goosebumps. I feel like I am finally answering that call more fully than ever before - and it brings joy unspeakable.
This weekend was our indoor yard sale. Thanks to everyone who came by and bought stuff. It was extremely emotional for Amy - and all of us in different ways. It is hard letting go of stuff that has so many memories tied to it, but there is also a sense of freedom that comes from not being burdened with "stuff".
Our house sale is moving along slowly, but at least there is steady progress. There continues to be a steady stream of people that are offering to financially support us on a regular basis. We are nowhere near where we need to be yet, but we are getting there. The one who calls you is faithful and He will do it. 1 Thessalonians 5:24
We have had several people offer for us to stay at their house when this one is sold. Thanks to everyone who has offered so far. This means so much to us and we will probably take some of you up on it. This type of lifestyle is new to us, but it requires us to trust in God fully - and that is pretty cool.
Haiti - we pray for you everyday. The missionaries there now that we will partner with, the kids whom we will disciple and minister to, the lost that Christ will save, and redemption for the country as a whole. We miss you and can't wait to get home.
In Christ,
Laramie
